About Zareen Zaidi

Zareen Zaidi, MD, PhD is a professor of medicine in the University of Florida College of Medicine Division of General Internal Medicine. She has served as associate chief of faculty development within the division. Dr. Zaidi has helped with start-up portfolios for medical students as the director of longitudinal portfolios for the UF College of Medicine. She has also increased the medical education scholarship visibility of the UF College of Medicine as director of scholarship for the department of medicine. She is a FAIMER fellow in medical education from Philadelphia Institute and has completed her PhD in medical education from the Maastricht University, Netherlands. Her research interests include qualitative research, critical theory, critical discourse analysis, cultural competency, social justice, undergraduate medical education, workplace-based assessment and portfolios.
