Welcome Anugya Poudel Chataut, MD and Gary Gossman, MPAS, PA-C!

Originally from Nepal, Dr. Anugya Poudel-Chataut has just completed her residency training at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital (also known as Cook County Hospital, Chicago) an affiliate of Rush University Medical Center where she received outstanding evaluations for the quality of her work as well as her team-based leadership and teaching skills.   She obtained her MBBS from the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College in Nagpur, India.  Following completion of medical schools she spent two additional years as a medical officer in Nepal before coming to the United States to complete residency training.

This year, Dr. Chataut will be providing urgent clinic coverage at the Internal Medicine @ Medical Plaza practice in addition to consult and ward attending service.  Her husband is a first-year nephrology fellow in our Department of Medicine.

Gary Gossman, MPAS, PA-C is a Distinguished Fellow in the American Academy of Physician Assistants and brings with him 30 years of experience.  His obtained his Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Florida and went on to complete a Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska.

He has most recently been part of the Division of Hematolgy/Oncology, where he was highly regarded.  He has a great deal of primary care and administrative experience and we welcome him to our team.
