Patient Care

The Division of General Internal Medicine provides care for the residents of Gainesville and the surrounding community at two different locations. The Internal Medicine Clinic at the Medical Plaza is located on the campus of the University of Florida and is convenient for both UF and Shands employees. The Internal Medicine Clinic at Tower Hill is located in the northwest section of Gainesville and is easily accessible from I-75.

Housed in the Internal Medicine Clinic at the Medical Plaza, the General Internal Medicine Consultation Clinic is for patients requiring optimization and assessment prior to urgent or elective surgical procedures. We also evaluate patients referred by their physicians for second opinions regarding specific medical problems.

In addition, we are pleased to offer our patients Bone Densitometry services from our location at Tower Hill.

Our providers also care for patients at Shands at UF by attending on the Internal Medicine Teaching Service and staffing the Internal Medicine Inpatient Consult Service.
